    Hi all,

I am new here. I am looking for some tips to keep my home dust free. There is construction work going on near my house. As a result, there is always dust and dirt in my home. How much ever cleaning I do, at the end of the day there is dust again.

My son is allergic to dust, so I have to be so careful to keep my house dust free all the time. Dust is just increasing because of the construction work going on. I clean and mop the house everyday, but still no use. I don’t know what more to do to keep my home free from dust.

I read some tips online, https://junkit.ca/tips-to-keep-your-home-dust-free/. Any other tips or suggestions?
Looking forward to your replies. Thanks.

    Hi, Marlajohn!

Dust can really be stubborn and quite dangerous, especially for allergic people. The first thing to do is try and isolate your home from all dirt that is coming from the construction site. Open windows only when the workers are done for the day, remove your shoes before entering the house and use a damp cloth to wipe them, along with your bag and items that could detain dust. In addition to the daily cleaning, I would recommend also frequent washing of the bed covers and cleaning of carpets and furniture. Upholstered furniture and similar objects tend to detain most dust, for which the ordinary vacuuming is not a solution. The popular professional cleaning methods are hot water extraction cleaning and dry cleaning. Description of both methods you can find at https://fantasticcleaners.com.au/brisbane/upholstery-cleaning/
