Hi all! Looking for salon recommendations in NYC. I want both manicure and pedicure done, and I've heard Russian techniques are really good but never tried them. Anyone have experience with this?

Oh you're in for a treat! The Russian technique is amazing - so much better than regular manicures. I go to M. STUDIO for russian manicure and pedicure and honestly can't imagine going anywhere else now. The difference is the precision and how long everything lasts. For manicure, they do this dry technique with e-files that's super gentle on your natural nails but removes all the dead skin perfectly. Their pedicure is called 'Smart Gel Pedicure' and it's fantastic. The atmosphere there is really relaxing - feels like visiting a friend rather than a clinical salon. They have upholstered furniture, offer drinks, and play nice music or movies. If you're trying it for the first time, they actually have a special offer for new guests. The whole experience usually takes about 2 hours for a full manicure, but they have speedy options too if you're in a rush.
