I was going to try and advertise and see what happens. Worth a shot I guess

Craigslist used to be good for hiring, but now it costs $25 a post, which isn't that better but still worse than free.

I've been using Craigslist, because that's all I could afford with my new business. I'm planning on the first of the month to try something new with direct mail and flyers or postcards. With Craigslist, I've been posting 2 ads, once a day. I haven't gotten a big response, but a few here and there. I picked up 2 bi-weekly cleanings, but it has been a much slower process than I would like.

Well actually it's a really good way to get a cheap professional of a certain type so might as well try. Don't let the absence of many cheap professionals put you off so give it a shot

That's a nice idea actually, I haven't really had any experience with that yet but now I'm going to try it. I have some different ideas in mind so choosing the right one will be difficult, or might as well try them all. I can be patient, I'd suggest you guys try it out too

Been there and done both, hired and got hired through it, pretty useful depending on some of the costs though
