Remove high up stains with scrub pads and holders sold at Detroit Sponge.

Professional window cleaners run into stains on windows that require additional scrubbing. A scrub handle with a pad is a great option for dealing with difficult spots. Scrub pads give you the option of using them by hand or having the ability to attach to a scrub pad holder. The scrub pad holders allow for cleaning high up stains with the capability of attaching to a pole. Bronze and steel wool pads are popular because they resist rusting as well as scrubber sleeves that go on a t-bar.

Different scrubbing tools can work best in certain situations but a lot of the scrubbing options boil down to your personal preference of cleaning. You need to consider the height you are working at, how aggressive a scrub you need and what you want to keep on hand. Some window cleaners will walk around with a small bronze wool pad, others will prefer it to be able to attach to their t-bar. In the end, the end goal is to remove all abrasion off the window without scratching the surface of the glass.

Our team at Detroit Sponge always recommends trying out a tool with the least aggression before putting anything super abrasive on the glass. Again, most of the products will work but must be used with caution. From there, it is all about your personal preference of scrubbing style. We love recommending our selection of scrub pads and holders to our customers. Check out some of the specs on our best sellers you can use at a higher working height when attached to a pole!

    SCRUB PADS

    Walnut Pad

The 6×9 Inch thin Walnut Scrub Pad is made of polyester and walnut shells to provide aggressive cleaning power for a variety of surfaces. The Walnut Scrub Pad offers great abrasive action and is very durable. Made with renewable resource of crushed walnut shells, which gives it the light brown color. The walnut pad will provide aggressive cleaning action for virtually any surface.

    Bronze Wool Scrub Pad

This 4 by 6 Bronze Wool Scrub Pad is perfect for tough stains and won’t rust like steel wool. Use it by hand or with our scrub pad holders. This is nice for aggressive spots. It is the benefits of the steel wool and can attach to a pad holder. This is a bestseller and hard to keep stocked in our warehouse!

    White Scrub Pads

These white scrub pads are made of spun plastic fibers to power through stuck on stains but will not scratch glass. You have two options in the white scrub pads, a thin or thick pad.

Thin 6×9 Inch Thin White Scrub Pads are perfect for hand buffing. They are about 1/4 inch thick and come in a pack of 10 pads.

Thick 4.5×10 Inch Thick White Scrub Pads are perfect for use on a scrub pad holder. They are about 1 inch thick and come in a pack of 5 pads.

    SCRUB PAD HOLDERS

There are two basic options for scrub pad holders. The difference is the end and how they can attach to a pole. They have a hook surface to hold soft pads firmly. Use this with our Thick White Scrub Pads or the Bronze Wool Scrub Pad to power through tough stains on glass.

Swivel Scrub Pad Holder With ACME Thread

The Swivel Scrub Pad Holder withACME Thread attaches easily to an extension pole with a standard ACME thread.

This is a great complement to a waterpole brush for stubborn stains your brush can’t clean. Check out the ReachAround Adapter to add a scrub pad to your waterpole.

Swivel Scrub Pad Holder With Universal Clamp

The Swivel Scrub Pad Holder with Universal Clamp attaches easily with a collar that tightens down onto a pole or wooden handle.

These products are the beginning of adding additional scrubbing, there are many more great options on our website. We would love for you to get your hands on some of our products and put them to the test. If you have questions about any of these products or any not discussed, please reach out to us.
