Move on the residential area. Knock on some door try to get some work. In your business experience what are the best time of week to do the task? I think it can be very helpful to promote business:D

You can canvass by knocking door to door. Canvassing is necessary for promoting your business. I think also it is best time for promoting.

To be honest I've had many beliefs of some times being better than others for that but I've changed that since it's not really how it works. I've been knocking on doors at the best times and at the worst times as an experiment and I've been caught by surprise that a lot of times there is not much of a difference. Not only that but it depends on the regions and the mindset that the people there have set to them so you'd have to try it a lot of times at any time of the day to build your own perspective of what the best time is. At the end it all boils down to you putting the effort into it and hoping for the best :)

Honestly the door knocking game is always kind of a hard one. Yes you get a lot of face to face interactions but I feel like it can do more damage than good. Most people get angry at door to door salesmen and even if you do convince them that their windows need cleaning, I think you would become one of the last people they would select. You have just encouraged them to look into window cleaning but then they will look for the best company on google.

But if you show up with the tools you need and say you just cleaned somebodies windows in the neighborhood and you are willing to charge a very low fee since you are already in the neighborhood then you might have a chance. And leave your company info with that client so when other people ask questions you have your clients doing the marketing for you.

He does have a point, there are ways of making a really bad impression but if you're experienced you're probably going to turn the situation over and leave a great impression with maybe a job too. I've done it loads of times and let me tell you. At first I was reaaally bad, it's always hard at the beginning but once you get used to it it will go smoothly

Do it somewhere when they get their paychecks, that's when they get comfortable and they'll be welcoming new things since they have some money, I'm guessing it's the best time of the month, 2 times a month would be enough for a few days

It's not that, it's knowing how hard you worked and how it all payed off, it's knowing that even know you've struggled you've achieved this much. That's what makes me feel good. :)
