Cleaned a church yesterday. Over 100 windows. Everything was going great! Then I got to this big side glass of some doors. I couldn't get it to stop smearing. I was using Squeegee Off, smeared bad, so tried just Dawn and Vinegar, smeared, so then I tried what their janitors used, still smeared. I couldn't tell you what was on there. My guess is there was paint overspray and someone maybe used Mineral Spirits.? Just a guess because we had to scrape a lot of the windows around that one because of paint splatter.
What would you guys use? Do you have a miracle cleaner for those windows that just keep smearing no matter what?

Hmmm tough to say without seeing it. The solutions you mention is what came to my mind but I also thought of trying Ammonia to assist in getting the tougher spots off the glass
