Do you ever need to do Pure Water cleaning somewhere there’s not a convenient water source? The Gardiner Backpack may be the answer! This backpack is Version 3 and Gardiner’s most popular and reliable backpack to date.

This is the newest and most improves backpack on the market currently. It can be as simple as adding filtered water and cleaning in small or difficult to reach spaces. It is the perfect complement to a van-mount system and ideal for awkward to access areas.

SETUP:

Detroit Sponge adds a few extra items (converter and fitting) along with the backpack in order for you to start right away!

On the front of the backpack, you will see the voltage meter.

The side of the system has the battery charger input, you will want to charge between jobs. The charge tends to last 9 hours out of the 12 volt batter. The charger output is European and we include the converter. The red on and off switch has two option. If you switch it up, where there is one line, you can use the knob to control the water flow. As you turn it clockwise, the water flow will increase. If you switch it down, where there are two lines, the system will work at full pressure the whole time. In this setting the know will disengage and not control the water flow. To turn off, simply put the switch back to the middle position.

To install the battery, you will need a power drill or screwdriver. Be sure to make sure the system is powered off to prevent getting a shock. Turn the system on its back, you can then remove the 6 Phillip head screws. Once you remove the bottom panel, you will see the compartment case for the battery. You will need to remove the four screws. Once the compartment is out, you can place the battery in the case. There is a black and a red connection, match them to the connections of the battery. It will be easier to connect if the connections on the battery are facing the system. The battery and compartment can be screwed back in, as well as the bottom panel.

PLEASE NOTE:

• 240v power leads (such as kettle and computer leads) are not compatible with this backpack for charging and will destroy the unit if used.
• Only a blade fuse between 3 and 10 amps must be used with this backpack. Using a different amp blade fuse will invalidate the warranty on the backpack.
• The backpack is warrantied for use with water only – due to health and safety reasons no warranty returns will be accepted if the backpack has been used with any chemicals.
• Any modification to this unit will invalidate the warranty on the backpack.
