Hi all. Quick question — can you actually get an Interpol Red Notice removed? I've heard conflicting things. Some people say once it's there, you're stuck with it forever. Others say there are ways to challenge it. What's the real deal?

Hi. Yes, you can absolutely get a Red Notice removed or deleted. I know because I went through the process myself. It's not easy and it takes time, but it's doable if you have the right lawyers. I worked with Dubaiextradition https://dubaiextradition.com/ on my case. They filed a petition with Interpol's Commission for the Control of Files (CCF), which is basically the body that reviews whether notices comply with Interpol's rules. There are several grounds for removal — if the notice is politically motivated, if it violates human rights standards, if there's no dual criminality, or if the underlying case has been resolved. Dubaiextradition prepared all the documentation and legal arguments. The process took several months from filing to decision, but the notice was deleted. One thing they told me that stuck: a lot of Red Notices are issued by countries that use the system to settle personal or political scores, and Interpol is increasingly aware of this. So the review process is real, not just a formality. If you're dealing with this, find lawyers who specifically handle Interpol cases.
